Dear Sirs,

I'm having problem with analyzing of rubber lined carbon steel pipes. I've already searched the threads but I could not find topics pertaining to rubber lined pipes.

Could someone help me on how to properly integrate the rubber lining in our caesar model?

Thank you very much in advance.

The easiest thing to do would be to treat it as "refractory" of the proper thickness, with the appropriate density. This will not affect the overall stiffness of the system.

Before I would include the rubber I would check if it is realy necessary. For instance we hade NB700 pipes with 12 mm WTH and 4 mm rubber, which has a dencity of 1.06. Pipe has seawater inside. I would not worry too much with the rubber. Mayby I ask our customer if they considered. Nuclear Power Station Cooling Water (safety class 2).
