Dear Richard,

My client ask me to stress analysis an existing LNG Tank System. The reference document that i got at this time is only the Calculation Report of Previous analysis that being done by other third party using AUTOPIPE ver.6.0. It seem they also doing the analysis of existing system, but i think the client still see many problem in their LNG system, one of them are LNG Tank system.
So what i one to ask here is....
The line is insulated and many of them using pipe cradle, from the input of Autopipe that i read and learn, they put friction 0.3 in all the support and restraint. well i think it is reasonable because the support in the field is actually experience friction (because of many of them using shoe and cradle), and the problem in CAESAR II is when i do the same, i put the friction in each of the support and restraint (there are 92 restraint with 0.3 friction) offcourse the iteration won't convergence......altough i have adjust the friction stiffnes, even to a very lower value such as 1.8e-001.
SO now i take away all the friction and analyze the system without friction, with this way offcourse i will not get the real value for Restraint Summary (Force on Support), meanwhile my client is also ask to check the support and structure load.
So Richard, is there any way in CAESAR to do this ?
Please give your input...and i realy appreciated all positive and valuable input for this discussion....

Thanks

Use the [Search] faciltiy here, there are a number of earlier posts that discuss "convergence" issues. Here is a good one.
