Hi dudes and dudettes,

I'm new at this, a real noob having just graduated not long ago into my 1st permanent job.

I'm modeling a hydrocyclone with PVElite, and having some problems with the lug input. Everything else is okay.

I'm trying to insert two lugs for lifting, but the lug input button on the top can't be clicked (it's in greyish colour which indicates it can't be clicked. Same goes to the previous trey input button and the next leg input button). I have already highlighted the shell fyi.

Would appreciate any help, my lady boss is expecting me to work it out. eek

Cheers,

Han

Hi Han,

If the vessel is in the horizontal position then it is not possible to add Support lugs, legs and trays to the model. The only support details available are saddles for a horizontal vessel.

If you want to insert a 'lifting lug' then this the last icon on the details tool bar and a lifting lug is only available on the latest PV Elite 2010 version.

If you already have a vessel in the horizontal position and you want to change this into a vertical position then you can use the 'Flip Model Orientation...' button in Tools on the menu bar.

Thanks Ray, I have already called up my local agent, we are renewing and updating our PVElite. So I should get my hands on the new PVElite 2010 soon.
