I have a section of piping attached to a nozzle which I have created a rigid section to the anchor of the vessel. In the section of piping there is a down right which has spring hangers attached. Because the nozzle is attached to an anchor the weight of the piping is acting on the nozzle not on the spring hangers. I have tried modelling the system without the vessel and the weight returns onto the spring hangers.

Any ideas greatfully received.

Check out the 'Free Restraint at Node ...' on the hanger input sheet. This should solve your problem.
