Should read "Both the export and import in CADWorx only allow for file type (".c 2")" not CAESAR II . The forum software changes what I typed when it is submitted. I guess I should just put quotes on it.

I give up. Every time I try to type in "c 2" for the file format the preview reads correct but when I submit it the forum software thinks it knows what I want to say and changes it to CAESAR II. Frustrating!!!!!!!

Is there a chance that your CADWorx version is older than your CAESAR II version? CAESAR II can read an old input file but an older CADWorx may not digest the returned and newer ".C 2" file.

This Forum translates the string ctwo into CAESAR II.
It was intended as a convenience. Not true here. Sorry.

And just so you know, the ".c 2" file is a compressed archive that contains all of the related files for that job. One of those files is the piping input file, the "._A" file. These files are sometimes used interchangably, which is why many of the "File Open" dialogs have the "drop list" at the bottom - so you can switch if necessary.

The above is how the post should read. I understand that the post software makes changes in an effort to help but not in this case.
Some more information: I have tried a couple of different simplified Cadworx models but with the same result
CADWorx version: Plant Professional 2009
CAESAR II version: 5.20

The input dialog box when bringing the caesar II model back into the cadworx model does allow for file type changes but when I switch it to "._A" there are not any files available to choose from. When saving the file in caesar it only allows for the .ctwo (spelled out) file type.
