If i try modeling a dummy support by specify the mid point of the bend and adding a pipe there. it gives me an error that the bend is not properly specified. Could anyone please tell me how i can model the dummy support?

There are examples of this configuration in the Applications Guide. See Chapter 3, starting at page 30.
