Dear Group,

Please any body explain why I can't calculate WRC 107 at the head of vessel which is the axis of nozzle are collinier with axis of vessel ??

My second question how to define accaptance criteria (passed or failed) when we conducted WRC 297 ??

WRC 107 calculations are valid for only cylinder-cylinder connections.

Acceptance criteria for WRC 297 is the same as that for WRC 107. These two bulletins estimate the local stresses and these local stresses have limits defined in documents such as ASME Section VIII Division 2. CAESAR II will eventually include these stress checks for the WRC 297 stresses.

A quote from the article you reference, "The Vessel and Nozzle direction cosine should always be perpendicular in order to use WRC-107."
Your error message says the same.
