Hi,

When I tried to use the wizard in I-Configure, I got the error message "Automation error The specified module could not be found. Error number - 2147024770". How can I fix this problem?

Thanks,

See if re-registering the Alias (ISOGEN) DLLs resolves this issue. In the CAESAR II program directory you'll find a batch file named "netuserC2.bat". Assuming you have "admin rights", just double click this and the batch file will run.

Let us know if the problem persists.

(Do you have any other installations of Alias software on this machine?)

Thanks a lot Richard.

I ran "netuserC2.bat" and it registered some dlls. But the problem is still there.

There used to be 5.1 on my computer. I recently have it un-installed. This might be the reason causing the problem. Since our IT people could not find the 5.2 CD disk, I cannot have 5.2 re-installed to solve this problem.

Is there any other way to fix it?

Yes that could be the issue. The best thing to do is find the "5.20 DVD", then uninstall 5.20, and then reinstall 5.20. This is the best way to get a clean, complete installation of the ISOGEN files.

I have re-installed CAESAR II 5.20 and the update. I also ran NetuserC2.bat. Still the same problem.

Attached is a screen catch of the error. Any idea how to fix this problem?

Thanks,

I still suspect the DLL registration. "Edit" the netuserC2.bat file, and go down to the bottom. This is where you'll find the commands to register the Alias DLLs.

With this file open, start a CMD session (a DOS box) and:
1) Navigate to the CAESAR II directory
2) Manually issue those REGSVR32 commands, one at a time.

Are they all successful, or does something fail ?

Hi Richard,

When I ran NetuserC2.bat, everything is good. I manually registered the dlls and they are all successful. Still the same problem.

Thanks,

The I-Configure Wizard DLL are in (by default):

C:\Program Files\COADE\CAESAR II 5.20\3rdParty\Alias\I-Configure.

See if registering these (DimensioningWizard, DrawingSetupWizard, ReportingWizard, and WeldingWizard) resolves the issue.
