To avoid manualy inputting B 31.3 allowable stresses as per clause 302.3.2(d) for DIN piping materials, is it resonable to use Caesar II B 31.3 material database for equivalent ASTM material - for example DIN 1629 St 45 using ASTM A 53 Gr A caesar II allowable stress database ?

Is this alternative acceptable to 3rd party inspectors like "LLoyds" or major project management consultants (PMC) in general ? If so, which DIN V/s ASTM piping material table is most widely used for low pressure temperature pipework in steel plant applications ?

regards,

sam
