Greetings,

Someone might confirm me the unbalanced force that I have to put in a dynamic analysis of water hammer.
I have the following elements,

fluid = water
pipe = 30 "
thickness = 0.625 "
DP = 533 psi (Delta Pressure)
trise = 10 s
c = 3935 ft / s (sound speed)
L = 69 ft (maximum length between elbows)

I think it should be around of 606 lbf (F=dp*Area), because L/c << trise (dp= fraction of total DP*Area).

The unbalanced force is a fraction of total DP*Area because,
dp = DP*(L / c)/trise = 0.93 psi, much lower than the maximum (when trise < L/c).

I would appreciate your comments
