Hi Guys,

PVElite is considering only the height of the Skirt to calculate the Effective section Area [Az] in the wind load calculation (Australian Wind Code AS/NZS 1170.2:2002 Part 2 - Wind Actions).

I am not sure how do we tell PVElite to consider the overall length of the vessel to calculate the 'Az'.

Can anyone help me out in doing this calculation. The Overall Length of the vessel is 2.74m.

Any suggestions would be really appreciated.

Below is the Output what I mean to say,

Effective section Area [Az]:
= O/Dia * Diameter Multiplier * Length
= 1.302 * 1.200 * 0.839
= 1.311 m²
If you guys really need the PVELITE file I can give that, which is not a problem.

What you see in the printout, is the length of the 1st element for which we are showing the sample calculation.

The length of each vessel element is used to find wind load on that element.

So, the vessel length is really considered.
