Currently due to the zipped file format of CII, the 'date modified' changes even if you just look at the input file and back out without changes. It is a little frustrating as you can’t quickly see the real last date changed for CII files in windows explorer.
How about saving a temporary copy somewhere and if there are no changes, restoring the copy, so maintaining the original ‘date modified’?

A very good idea in my opinion. I also have struggled with the changed date of the CII file without the file actually being modified.

Thanks Corne, I was hoping others would agree. I forgot to mention that its not just when you look at the input, the same is true of course when you view the output.
