Hi,

I have read the NEMA SM 23 and I understand that the resolution point is the intersection of the Exhaust Flange axis and the turbine axis (shaft). Have I understand well?

Why NEMA takes as reference flange the exhaust flange and doesen´t take another one, like inlet flange or bleed flange?

Talking with a job friend, she says that, for calculate admissible loads in steam turbine, he uses the resolution point, the distance from the nozzle wich is calculating to turbine axis. Then, she says that resolution point is different in each nozzle.

Thank you very much for your answers, I´m getting crazy with this! :-)
(Sorry for my english)

Use the search facility or just read the current threads in the forum. There is plenty of NEMA discussion there.
