I just started looking at an old Caesar file. We are making mods to the system and I have made the changes to the old file. In doing so, I deleted a section of piping that comes from a H/X nozzle up to a tee location.

In the original file the nozzle location was the first element. After I deleted the required section of piping, I started my new node numbering at the tee location and proceeding back to the nozzle with incresing sequential node numbers. So the tee is the first element in my file and I have piping going in either direction.

However, the original file has displacements and accelerations defined at the nozzle location (at the first element). I am wondering if define these values at me new node number (which is no longer the first element) will the file be the same since there will be elements that preceed the nozzle node number?

I modeled it this way because I didn't want to play around with matching the global coordinates, etc. (basically I'm lazy - ha ha). I'm sure there is an easier (and correct) way to do this but it led me to this question regarding the inputs at the nozzle.

Data defined for a specific node in your CAESAR II model applies no matter where that node number appears in your model - the data is associated with the node not that node's position in the input order.
Of course, you will confirm this while reviewing your results.
