I am using PVElite 2009 June build on Windows XP SP3.

Design Code: ASME SEC VIII Div-2 ED: 2007 Add: 2008
Find attached PVElite input file with all design parameters. Vessel is underground & external soil load + pressure given by client is specified in file.

My design is safe for external pressure but it fails for Moment of Inertia for the Ring/Shell Junction (compression & Shear).

I had tried with different option (increase no of stiffener rings, Increase section, & also with ‘select Stiffener Rings for External Pressure’-Yes; in Design condition tab), but it does not work.

I am unable to define large & small stiffener ring as mention in Para 4.4.5.2 of ASME VIII-2 or Code Case 2286-1.
