You should use whatever Code is relevant to the project. B31.3 covers Cu-Ni. Look in App. A, spec. B466, B467 class C70500, C70600 for allowable stresses.
Cu-Ni has a low Young's modulus and allowable stress. Walls are usually very thin and prone to high local stress, risking denting or buckling. Spans will be less than steel. If it's a fire water system, beware of slug loads, particularly if filled in emergency by a powerful fire pump.
On the construction front, it needs galvanic isolation from steel supports, so use clip strip or similar. Use doubler pads at stops etc. Flanges are usually backing ring type.
Cu-Ni has been used to make some very smart belt buckles on certain North Sea barges.
