Hello all

i am working in ZEL a leading oil and gas consulting firm n doing stress analysis with CAESAR II. Can anyone tell me if i want to perform surge analysis using CAESAR by changing the position of valve from open to close or viceversa, then will this software help me in this regard. Second, how can i encounter or put data for THRUST BLOCK in CAESAR.

Urgent response will be highly appreciated

Thanks

Hi waseem

You have to use fluid stimulation software like "flowmaster" to get surge force then input that data in caesar.
You may seek process help to get those data.
For thrust block, In caesar model consider anchor. Pass anchor load to civil/vendor for thrust block design.
Thrust block required if you use bellow or slip type joint.

CAESAR II does not perform any kind of hydraulic analysis.
