I am moving to australia next week. I am expecting very much that I will have to work also on australian pressure vessels codes/standards. In this regard I have following questions in my mind, and would request if some one can help me answer these.

1)Is it compulsary for every vessel to comply with AS1210 or other similar AS codes, which is to be installed in australia.

2) are there any short courses/training modules with reference to Australia pressure vessel codes preferably in melbourne-australia ?

3)Is there any body who have codes/related literature with reference to australian pressure vessels code. I need it for my personal study so as to get prepared in advance. I will sent my email address in a message, if some one is willing to share.

4)What is the lastest edition of AS1210. I am expecting it to be 1997, with 3rd ammendement.

5)are there any well known softwares which can give calculations based on AS1210? Do Coade have any plans to incorporate it in PV-Elite

1 Australia as far as I am aware also uses the ASME code. However, it is possible that the purchase may insist that the Australian code be used.

2 We have no short courses on the Australian code. However, if you are familiar with ASME Division 1 and a little bit of ASME Division 2 you should find much that is familiar in the Australian code.

3 Please refer to (2) above.

4 I am not sure, but it seems the edition is 1997 with a 1999 supplement is the latest.

5 We are not aware of any software that is available. I suggest you do a web search.
