Hello Everybody,

I need help diagnosing an error on startup with PVElite 2009 build 060910.

I get a "Fatal Error #6031 - The requested feature is no longer available" on startup.

This issue has only JUST started happening, been using PVElite 2009 for months without problems.

This issue only occurs on some workstations. Other workstations are fine.

All workstations get their licence information from a HASP SRM Licence Server. This licence server is running v3.21 firmware on the HASP red network usb lock.

PVElite is running the latest patch (June 2009 - 060910).

Workstation is running Windows XP 32bit - SP3.

PVElite 2009 has been reinstalled a number of times - this does not fix the issue.

The licence server has been restarted a number of times - this does not fix the issue.

HASP drivers have be reinstalled from COADE as well as Aladdin - multiple versions tested - this does not fix the issue.

Other workstations are running PVElite fine (WinXP-32bit, Vista-64bit).

There has got to be a way to fix this. Anybody, please help.

Regards,

Joe

Joseph,

The client computer must be able to see the key information (key version 3.21 and vendor ID 41240) on the HASP key’s section of the localhost:1947 port, click on this link: http://localhost:1947. Are you able to see the key information on the client computer?

Your client computers needs these steps (see PDF attached):

1. Modify http://Localhost:1947, with the IP Address of the server that has the key attached on Configurations settings
(see step 6 of pdf).
2. Modify "NetHasp.ini" file and save this on root folder "C:\Program Files\COADE\PVElite 2009" (see step 4 of pdf).

If these steps did not help, send me an email to techsupport 'at' coade.com with my name on the subject line.

Hello Luis,

Thanks for getting back to us so quick! Most appreciated.

I've already done the debugging outlined in your attachment before posting here, as it can be easily found on google.

I've tried permutations of the fixes suggested. Allowing broadcast, but upping timers.. dropping timers, but disallowing broadcast etc...

Unfortunately, none of this has made any difference to the client machine.

The machine that is reporting the #6031 on startup, allows PVElite to run after hitting the OK button on that dialog box.

Logging into the licence server on port 1947 shows the client as connected successfully, and the session looks good.

When the machine that is reporting error #6031 closes PVElite after forcing it to start, the session on the licence server is successfully removed.

If I attempt to view ESL information from within PVElite after it has finished loading, the application goes into an infinite loop of Fatal Error #6031 and must be killed by ending the task.

I'll email you detail of our testing procedure and will take this enquiry off the forum.

I will be sure to post a fix, when we find one, be it hex editing the exe, formatting the box, cleaning the registry, or whatever, to enable other's to perform it.

Thanks,

Joe
