With respect to the combined loading calculations in PV Elite, i have following queries,

1) Is the compressive stress calculated as per UG-23d or any other method
2) How is the tensile stress calculated for load cases involving earthquake and wind moments.

Can i get guidelines/theory anywhere related to above ?

For ASME VIII-1 the allowable compressive stress is computed per UG-23(d) as you noted.

The allowable tensile stress is usually the Code allowable tensile stress times the circumferential joint efficiency times the occasional load factor which is 1.2.
