Can nay one tell me why there is a mismatch in the Hanger table and restaint summary report in CAESAR.

We genarly provide restaint summery to design the support.

Plaese explain me why there is a mismatch

Hi Om123
I guess you are talking about difference in data with ‘’theoretical installed load” from hanger table with “sustain load” from restrain summery.
If you check displacement report in sustain case it will not be zero, slight +ve or -ve value in vertical direction.
Multiply that value with spring stiffness & compare with theoretical installed load , it will exactly match.
When spring is attached with pipe, load is set with spring it is called theoretical installed load. Now spring become active in piping system it readjust it’s load with slight upward or downward movement and change load a bit , is called sustain load.
There will be small difference between that two load.

Habib

Hello Habbib

Thanks i know that but i have problem in Operating load
As per restraint Summary- my Max Operating Load -38274N and Max Dis=7.936mm

But when i look at the Hanger Table the stiffness- is 533N/mm and the vertical movement=-10.728mm and Hotload-39763N

I think your selection is not perform as per "hot load design". If use "hot load design" the value of OPE is as same as "HOT LOAD(-39763N)". If use "cold load design" ,multiple hanger case or others, the value maybe differ from "HOT LOAD".

Also, unless your "hanger free thermal case" is set to "As Designed" instead of the typical "Ignore", the hanger design load cases don't consider the hanger's spring stiffness in the solution. So the hanger report should differ from the actual OPE load case (but be within the allowed load variation).
