Hi MNR

Collect settlement value from structure & feed it in tank anchor point with CNODE. If first support closer to tank affected with settlement put displacement with CNODE at that support also.

This settlement is likely to create problem in tank nozzle load.
You may consider following to pass nozzle load

1) Use spring support close to nozzle
2) Provide loop close to nozzle
3) Use expansion bellow at nozzle
4) Use hose at nozzle

Try to reed this post name:

"Rigid stiffness, tank modelling"
"Load case combinations (again)"
"Piping on oil storage tanks"

You did not tell us the size of the tank, the size of the nozzle/pipe, the amount of the expected settlement or the time frame of the alleged settlement so it is a bit hard to offer real help.
However before I retired I had more than 45 years in the process plant engineering, design, field engineering and pipe fabrication. During that time I never saw or installed a tank connection with an expansion joint.

I would love to be able to show you how to do it with nothing but simple pipe configuration.
