Can anybody help me to dig out the reference/basic equation which normally being followed gloabally to calculate the skirt average temperature.

The calculation which is being followed is based on the curve "F" vs "kh/t^0.5". We want to know the derivation for that.
And for saddle/shoe temperature decay, normally what is the right approach.
Can you let me know the temperature dissicipation ( Degrees/M ) formula which normally is being followed for some critical systems.

I can't figure it out why use r1 instead of r4 on the first factor of equation 5-36.

At first I would regard this as a typo, but the same equation is used on Example 5.1 also.

Any thoughts?
