Dear All,

I am working out an assignment for AES type exchanger. The question is about configuration of bolted floating head cover. The service for the exchanger is Sour. It requires 100% radiography. ASME Section VIII, Div. 1, appendix 2 specified different types of bolted dished covers such as loose, integral etc.

What are the guidelines for the selection of these as floating head cover ?

Refer to TEMA 8, Section 1, page 3, Figure N-2. For material selection, refer to NACE MR0175. Your cover is an integral bolted floating head cover.
