I really like the naming feature for the node numbers. I have run across a slight problem when using this feature. The first is, the number is tuncated when I print out the hanger report. I eve printed it in 132 wide format. The second problem is that sometimes the report still shows the node number and ignores the name that was given. I eve put the name in both the to and from fields. This is not a big deal, but it makes it alot easire for other people reading the reports to understand it.

What version and build are you running. Node names can be up to 10 characters in length. Depending on how much room we have in the report, we may or may not truncate some of the characters.

Node names appear in the graphics, the displacement report, the restraint reports, the force reports, and the stress reports. Where are you not seeing the node names?

I am running version 4.5 build 041213. The node is in the middle of a run and I am trying to name a spring hanger. This particular node will only show up as a number, not the name. This is in the restraint report and the hanger report. I have other nodes that are similar to this one and the name is displayed.

Send me your input (._A) file, and tell me what node it is.

When I received the first file, I had no problem producing reports and graphics with the node names.

Send my your file and I'll take a look.
