I had done all the analysis of 1 file with 4.40 & then when i opened & checked the reports in 4.50. But now with 4.50 it is showing errors. It is also showing node number 0.

Please clarify as to what is to be done.

It sounds like a corrupt file. Do you have another copy? Has the file been modified by anyone else since your 4.40 analysis? Have you checked (in the LIST) all the restraints, forces, displacments, and hangers for a "non-defined" node number - this would produce the error you're getting.

We had the same problem with output from
4.4 to 4.5, workaround was to just rerun
in 4.5, I don't think we ever solved the
problem.

"That" is not a problem. We only guarantee that the input will be upward compatible. Typically you can't view the output from version 'x' in version 'x+1'. All it takes is one little change to the file structure and everything following is unreadable.

However, the piping input files should always be upward compatible, from any version up to any newer version.
