I've gotten a report from one of our other offices about some kind of problem with 4.5 and not correctly applying wind loads. I haven't seen any mention here so far, but I did notice that build 041213 was released pretty quickly on the heels of 041209. But, the build file with 041213 makes no mention of what what changed for that build.

Can we get some explanation? These guys are concerned that their results are not good for some wind load cases that have been run and they want to know if they need to go back and rerun previous cases that were done in 4.5. I haven't had to run a wind case lately, so I don't have a first hand example, I'm afraid.

Actually the build file does list what was changed in 041213 - the problem is I was in such a hurry I just forgot to change the date. Notice there are two sections labeled 041209. The top most section should be labeled 041213.

There were only two changes in 041213:

- a correction to missing mass pointers, affecting only dynamic analysis where missing mass governed the response

- a correction to the dynamic input module, which in the 041209 build only, would not accept negative input values.

With regards to wind problems in Version 4.50, there were corrections in the build of 040120 to:

- correct the wind dialogs to properly address pressure or velocity tables.

- corrected logic for verifying wind direction cosines.

- corrected the output of wind pressure/velocity tables to the report files.
