Is there any way of determining the Piping allowable
Forces & Moments for a Reciprocating Compressors ?

Allowable forces and moments at cylinder flanges need to be provided by the OEM. Typically this is not easy information to obtain. Often it is specified that the compressor supplier (or OEM) review the piping and associated equipment drawings, and then they have the responsibility to assure the cylinder loading is not detrimental.

API 618 covers the minimum requirements for reciprocating compressors for petroleum, chemical, gas industry services.

Vendor shall define the maximum allowable nozzle forces and moments at the vendor interface.
