I have set up a project with I-configure but I can't get it to let me preview the drawing. I get this message:

"Isogen failed
Personal ISOGEN failed while attempting to load IDFGEN module
[Personal ISOGEN error -6]
View message file?"

The message file only contains the version info and nothing else.

I have also tried running a stressISO fron Caeser and get the same problem

I have read another post that touched on this subject but the response was to reboot ACAD. However this machine does not have ACAD. It only has DWG TrueView. Does ACAD have to be loaded to make isogen work? Shouldnt it atleast create a .pcf file? (btw I had to download and manually register 3 or 4 .ocx files to even get to this point, I wonder why?)

Weston

I believe for the "I-Configure Preview" to work you have to have VolvoView installed. This is a free download. (This was revealed in an I-Configure class last week.)

We can't distribute those OCX files as part of the CAESAR II install, because if you uninstall CAESAR II then they get deleted. We ran into this with Version 5.00 (when we did distribute these), upon uninstalling CAESAR II many IT/login scripts were broken.

You should also register these DLLs:
regsvr32 projectmanager.dll
regsvr32 pisogen.dll
regsvr32 pod.dll
regsvr32 ImportExport.dll
regsvr32 MaterialData.dll
regsvr32 pipeline.dll

(Note that registration only works if you have "admin rights".)

Autocad does not have to be loaded for this procedure to work.

I did as you suggested and am still getting the message

"Isogen failed
Personal ISOGEN failed while attempting to load IDFGEN module
[Personal ISOGEN error -6]
View message file?"

I'm not sure what's going on here...

Dear Weston,

Please check if you have idfgen.dll available in the same directory of pisogen.dll. This one doesn't need to be registered.

Dear Watson,

Few days back I face the same problem & got online help from COADE.. They kept "sssplt30.ocx" file into my "C:\WINDOWS\system32" folder.. So, you need the same & you'll get it from COADE.. Take the *.ocx file from them.. Then run the followings one after another.
(Go to Start\Run. Write down the following one by one & enter to intall successfully)
1. regsvr32 “C:\program files\COADE\CAESAR II 5.10\ProjectManager.dll”
2. regsvr32 “C:\program files\COADE\CAESAR II 5.10\pisogen.dll”
3. regsvr32 “C:\program files\COADE\CAESAR II 5.10\pod.dll”
4. regsvr32 “C:\program files\COADE\CAESAR II 5.10\importexport.dll”
5. regsvr32 “C:\program files\COADE\CAESAR II 5.10\materialdata.dll”
6. regsvr32 “C:\program files\COADE\CAESAR II 5.10\pipeline.dll”

(If CAESAR II installed in another folder (directory), than specify the path accordingly)

NB: After restarting your computer insert the CAESAR II disc. Then install the “Autodesk DWG Trueview”..

Hope it'll work...
