I am a very new to CAESAR. Currently working on CAESARII 4.5 (040810 BUILD).

My problem is that when I generalting a restraint report for the OPERATING Load Case on screen, the force values are coming correctly but the Moment values are zero at the displacement reactions. This is not the expected result.

I am not able to figureout where I am wrong.

Please guide.

Hi all,

I got the solution. Actually while inputing the displacements in the input data sheet I left the rotational displacement values blank. But I should have put zero in the Rx, Ry and Rz fields. Leaving these fields blank allowed rotational freedom and hence there was no rectional moments.

If you get moments or not will depend on the design of your restraint. You would expect moments if you had an anchor, but if you just had a guide, or a v-stop type support then you would not get any moments.
