First two load case is for Caesar to select spring hanger .
Case 1 for how much load at that spring location to be.
Case 2 how much is the displacement at that point.
Now Caesar will select suitable spring based on above data .
That selected spring will act in operating & sustain case.
W+P+T+H, & W+P+H.-------H is for spring .
If user define spring is used then first two non active case is not required.

Those two loads cases are for designing the Hanger, and it not required consider in the load cases. Hence it is not active. For futher details refer the Caeser Application guide, Tutorial chapter to understand it clearly.

Hi Pipehawk,

After defining the above said two load cases as said by Mr.Paldex,You need to mark output status as keep in the Load case options before running the model.Hence the hanger load cases will be active.

Hope you clarified

Sathish.

You should not change the Hanger Load Case status to "keep" unless you have some reason to view these intermediate results. These load cases are your system before the hangers are inserted and therefore the results should not be used for any sort of load or stress evaluation.

The only reason we allow the output status of these load cases to change is so that in more complicated hanger design scenarios the logic for the hanger selection can be followed.

Unless you change the load case status to keep. Then how's it possible to

make the hanger case active in the static output processor.

But CAESAR takes the hanger load as same if the hanger load case is active
or inactive.

As I said above, you don't need the hanger case active. You shouldn't be looking at the results from these cases unless you need to know the details of the hanger design cases.
