Hi there,

As far as I understood, the flexibility of a bend decreases when a dummy is welded to the bend as it restricts the ovalization of the bend.

However, I can't find it in any code or paper? The question is of course whether my search was thorough enough...

I have read the BS 806 / ASME B31.1 & .3 as these include a correction factor for the flexibility of a bend in case flanges are connected to one or both ends. Sadly, those codes don't mention anything about situations where dummy-legs are welded to the bend.

Has anyone got some good stuff / paper / code on this subject?

Check PVP-129 (Pressure Vessels & Piping). This is an old paper, 1980's if I remember correctly.
