Is anybody have an idea, how we can reduce the number of isometric drawings created in CASESARII. Each time I am getting message as 85 drawings or 120 drawings created. It is obvious to check this much number of drawings for one piping model is really hurculian task.

I have also changed the drawing size to A3 & A2.But still getting around more than 50 drawings. Please help me out.

Thanks

Hi Rahul,

You are probably using the 5.20 beta test version, when you click the "Edit Stress Annotation" button, you will see a split tab, if the check box is checked at a certain node, the isometric drawing will be splitted into two parts. Please uncheck those check boxes. You can save this settings in the isometric template file.

Rahul,
Based on your post it seems that you are new to this business or you missed a few things in your training.
1. CAESAR II is not the tool or method to define the number of Isometrics
2. The size of the job determines the quantity of line numbers
3. The complexity of the line configuration determines the quantity of Isometrics per line number

and to go on

4. the overall size of the piping on an isometric along with the natural break points (flanged objects) determine the quantity of shop fab spool pieces.

Hi Rahul,

If you have 85 or 120 drawings generated, that doesn't mean something is wrong, it may be unusual. If you have a really big model, and model itself has lots of loops, branches, etc. Theoretically, it is possible. What we are comcerned about is the function of the software. Are all those dwg files look OK and dimension are correct? Please let me know how many pcf files you see before the ISOGEN dlls are kicked off?

Thanks.

Hi Shrav,

There is a problem of missing supports in isometric drawings in version 5.10 if more that one pcf files are created. I already fixed this bug weeks ago for version 5.20, which is scheduled to be released in the next month.

Old versions of the software are not maintained.
