Is there a method to get CAESAR to recognize user shapes that are created in CADWorx when the file is imported? I am placing flow meters in the lines, however they do not import into CAESAR.

CAESAR II translates everything into one of these "pipe elements":
- straight pipe
- bend
- rigid
- tee
- expansion joint

That's it, that is all you need for stress analysis. Remember that a stress (flexibility) analysis of a piping system uses "3D Beam Elements" - essentially infinitely thin sticks. These sticks have certain properties from which their flexibility (and subsequent behavior) is determined. An item is either "rigid" or "flexible (with varying degrees)".

I want CAESAR to recognize the CADWorx user shape as a rigid. However, it does not recognize it at all. Do I have to place a rigid element, as well as the user shape in CADWorx?

- For technical support issues with CADWorx-CAESAR II interface, email the AutoCAD model drawing (DWG) file and CAESAR II input file (*._A, *.C 2). Also, run the CADWorx command GETALLSPECDATAFILES. This command will copy all specifications and data files used in the model into sub-directories under where the model drawing file is located. Zip the contents of these directories and email it to us. If the model consists of several line numbers, please indicate in the email which line number(s) you are having issues with.
