Dear all,

In situations like modelling trunnions at elbow and providing support on the trunnions, I have observed that results change drastically with respect to trunnion orientation. I have seen this in the case of trunnions at flat turns. I am unable to understand why results change that much for a change in the trunnion orientation??? Plz clarify.

Regards
vishwa

For this you need to understand the limitations of beam elements and how they work.
