Dear Sirs:

I may be consired newbie in the field of Stress Analysis...

I am currently doing self-exploration of some Caesar Set-up Parameters

Have encountered the "No RFT/WLT in Reduced Fitting SIFs" under SIFs and Stresses Setup menu...

Am trying to understand the purpose of this yet Caesar Help files only explains it with a handful of sentences... and still gives me a big ? regarding its use.

Could anyone enlighten me with this.

thanks...

By default CAESAR II assumes that welding tees and reinforced fabricated tees are covered by the reduced fitting expressions (of B31.1) in computing the SIFs. If you don't agree with this assumption, check this checkbox.
