I am using B31.1 code for pipe analysis. In the report, all allowable stresses for 'OPE' load cases are shown zero and no code compliance is performed as well. However, the allowable stresses are shown with values in the 'SUS' and 'EXP' load cases and code compliance checks are also done. Could anyone please advise reasons and how to carry out code compliance check in 'OPE' load cases.
