I'm working on a European project and I'm trying to find out what the requirements are as far as pipe supports. Are all supports required to be load rated with the manual calculations done? Anyone have any general experience with PED regarding pipe supports and stress ?

Pipe support design under EN13480 would normally come under the 'SEP' or sound engineering practice description, unless the support is for instance a critical restraint in terms of load or displacement.

With regard to manual calculations, it should be the case that any company Pipe Support Standards document is backed up by validation calculations to substantiate specified load limits.
