This applies when using PD 5500 as design code.

Whenever the design temperature is 50°C or less the Yield Stress Operating value is incorrect (very low) for many of the older BS materials and enquiry case materials. At 51°C all is well. All of the EN materials in the PD 5500 material database that I have checked seem OK.

Stan,
I checked the subjected matter for BS1501-224,490 B at temp. of 45 C.the yield stress is 305.044 KPa which from my view of point it's true!!!
can you explaine more?

This is interesting. I have attached screenshot. This is what I get using BS1501-224-490 at 45°C (approx 54N/mm²). I am using PVElite build version PV 10.00 080509. I know of one other user that has experienced this so I know it's not just me.
