I´m doing a post construction simulation for a underground pipeline that got out ground. I tried to simulate this situation using a ground of very poor properties, as it is the case, but that didn't work . I am proposing to place anchorages (ballast) for restoring the depth of the pipe. But , there are points where the pipe emerged that the stress exceed the permissible ones.
How I can simulate this situation ?.

I guess that the line operates at higher temperatures and under high compressive stresses there occurred upheaval buckling. You can't simulate this phenomenon by Caesar since its formulation is based upon beam elements and hence doesn't address column buckling.
If the line has not lost its integrity and the plastic strains are within some acceptable range then you may leave the line in deformed shape, but require to estimate and provide the downward load (by rock dump) needed to avoid further propagation of the buckle. A tool like Sage Profile (http://www.sage-profile.com) by Sage Engineering may be helpful.
