Faizol,

The FVC data in PV Elite was taken from a manufacturer of these custom nozzles (Forged Vessel Connections, Houston, TX). 24 inch is the largest size in their catalog. You can certainly design a "hub" nozzle larger than 24 inches and have it built to your specifications.

Dear Scott_Mayeux,

Regarding to my problem,to design forged nozzle size 30" class 300# I just lookup size for 24" and then change I.D(Bore)to 762mm instead of 24"(609.6mm). So we got thickness (NR/2)= 45.974mm,Hub thickness(D/2)=152.4mm and PV elite result are passed. The problem is how to design the flanges(outside Dia.,BCD)according to ASME B16.47 Series A.

I already incorprate or combined my PV-elite Data to Standard dimension ASME B16.47 Series A (size 30" class 300#) and from my sketch, distance between bolt holes to hub wall are very closed(approx. 12.6760)and maybe clash were occur.

Could advice me which dimension to be revised? and if cant provide to me sketch drawing to my email: faizol@mset.com.my

Your prompt respond are appreciated and looking forward for your advice.

Thank you.

Regards,
Faizol

According to my understnading Mr. faizol

You can use TEMA for design non standards Flanges using forging materials like A105.
