As insulated lines are environmentaly isolated, what is the ambient temp we need to provide during analysis. Design basis is with 45degc.

Instead of ambient temperature use the term Installation temperature. Things will be more clear then.

Dear mara,

You can consider the max fluid temp (+ margin) as your design temp for the analysis. Check out with the line list to get the max fluid temp.

As a second thermal case, you can consider the analysis of pipe at a temp equal to metal temp under sun (in uninsulated condition of pipe during installation).

Regards,
ASA
