Dear all,

This is regarding pump qualification,

First of all i wamted to tell you that i am new to caesar II.

I am dealing with one problem i had TWO PUMP ON WHICH DIFFERENT FORCES WAS ACTING IN ALL DIRECTION & I AM ANALYSE THAT BOTH THE PUMPS WITH API 610,BUT MY PUMP STATUS WAS FAIL,LAST I AM FACING SAME PROBLEM BUT AFTER CHANGING THE DIAMETER OF NOZZLE IT IS PASSED,BUT AT PRESENT THIS IS NOT HAPPENED IN THIS CASE,PLEASE REPLY ME THE SOLUTION AS EARLY.......

Hi ran,

Last post I answer your question regarding this topic.. you can follow-up your question in same post. You need your senior engineer to guide you. "my advice".

You cannot instantly change your nozzle size for whenever you want, cause your process requirement is first to consider, so you must used the value of those in your pump size otherwise your are totaly lost. It is always a problem of choosing flexibility around pump. Thats why they need stress engineer to decide on what pipe route is best design for each system. I am not an expert but I hope this information will help you..

try to make your piping system more flexible. By modifying pipe support type and also reroute the pipe will help you to reduce amount of force and moment that pump nozzle suffer.

Second, It is more complex task if you had to resize the size of nozzle, cause nozzle is included in pump spec which means you have to change pump data sheets and i think it's not wise while reroute the pipe is way easier than it
