Hi

I am looking for any note or special consideration which has been mentioned by B31.4 or B31.8 about the ovality of pipe while it is buried.
my problem is how can we make sure that a buried pipe under some traffic loads remains "pigable".

thanks in advance

A large casing would be helpful to take those loadings off from the p'line and also would help do inspection/maintenance.

If memory serves me correctly, there is guidance on this subject in highway design manuals. I'm not sure which, but a friendly civil engineer may be able to help.
