Hi,

could someone help me on including the annular base plate weights on the calculation of total weight? Where do I tell TANK to calculate this weight? It keeps showing as 0 on the Output.

About the roof design, Iīm having a little hard time figuring out how to eliminate this message:

FATAL ERROR 175

An error occured attempting to determine the rafter lengths to
position the girder rings. To eliminate this error and continue
with the roof design - try adjusting the "Maximum Allowed Rafter
Length" on the input spreadsheet.

Iīve tried all combinations of length on that field and I canīt run this job because of this.

Thatīs all for now, thanks in advance.

TANK always computes this, but there is a bug in the Output Processor which is causing the zero to display. This will be corrected in the next build - which will hopefully be tomorrow.

The intent here is for you to give the program a head start on what the desired length should be. The program deducts 1 foot from your defined length for detailing and connections. This value should max out at what you can buy or ship. On the low side, if you have a rafter supported cone roof (no columns or girders), then the minimum rafter length is the "sloped" tank radius plus 1 foot.

Richard, thanks for the quick answer...

about the roof issue on my project, I understand the intention of that field and I think Iīm using it the right way. Our commercial available lengths are 6m, 9m, and 12m... since my tank diameter is 23 meters, I was thinking on limiting the size of the rafter on 9m, so TANK would have to include 1 additional girder (ring), right? But the error is still popping up. Is there any other field I can work around to check if this message goes out?

Thank you again for your support.

As long as you selected the "Supported Cone" roof type, this should work.

With the above numbers you'll end up with two girder rings (since 9 + 9 is less than 23).
