Can one please help me regarding the following Error. I am using flaoting head of type T, with dished head ( Appendix 1, configuration d. The error is regarding Nut/weld clearance. Can anyone explains this ?



Intermediate Calculations For Tubesheets Extended As Flanges:
ASME Code, Section VIII, Div. 1, 2007

Gasket Contact Width, N = (Goc-Gic) / 2 26.000 mm.
Basic Gasket Width, b0 = N / 2.0 13.000 mm.
Effective Gasket Width, b = SQRT(b0) * 2.5 9.082 mm.
Gasket Reaction Diameter, G = Go-2.0*b 733.835 mm.


Bolting Information for UNC Thread Series (Non Mandatory):
Distance Across Corners for Nuts 45.618 mm.
Circular Wrench End Diameter a 65.088 mm.

Hi Farid,

PV Elite is checking the clearance between the weld at the back of the flange and the nuts. Check your input on the flange dialog for the weld size and make sure that it is correct. If so, you should check the clearance between the nuts and the weld. If there is not sufficient clearance, assembly may not be possible or pleasant. You can refer to TEMA table D-5 for more information.
