I am doing analysis for the cooling water line of 96". It is first for me doing the analysis for cooling water lines. The stress values are exceeding the allowables. Please anyone suggest me what type of supports needed for buried piping.

There can be a lot of different reasons why the allowables are exceeded. Be careful when doing buried pipe modelling. Mostly there are local stresses that are higher than average pipe stresses. For example road crossings and the like. Have you also considered the possibility of water hammer?
Thanks for your answer, but the pipe is failing at the reinforced joints. Is there any special supports for this type of piping and the loads on piping are also high.

Can you give some more info on the system? What kind of pipe, what type of pipe connections, what have you modelled? etc. There can be a lot of reasons why an underground pipe calculation fails.
thank you sir i have taken anchors when the pipe is coming to ground from buried i have not given any supports when it is buried, but the piping is over stressed when it is buried how can i reduce the stresses.

I think we still not have enough information about this pipeline. What kind of material? is it 1 straight piece? temperature and pressure? soil properties? These all influence the pipe stress.
