Folks,

I tried to set SIF value in node 10 with Unreinforced,(i)=4.93, (o)=6.24, but when I checked, by clicking 'review at intersection nodes' button, the SIF(i) & SIF(o) are not changing at all. They follow with SIF value of straight pipe.
Can anybody assist me?

second, just to make sure what I am doing right, shown in intersection below

300

I put SIF value (node 10) in 3 elements, from 10 to 300; from 100 to 10; from 200 to 10. is that right? or should I put in one element only?

regards

You only need to specify the SIF type on one of the three elements framing into node 10.

What do you mean "the SIFi) & SIF(o) are not changing at all" ?

Richard,

I check at straight pipe, say node 940, then click the 'review at intersection nodes' button, the SIF(i) & (o) are 4.669 & 5.892.

These SIF values also occur in node 10(node at intersection) 4.669 & 5.892 even though I already set the value at node 10 with 4.93 & 6.42.

But if i check at stress output, SIF at node 10 has been changed follow my setting.
So, is it me or Caesar II has problem? I'm currently using version II 5.00

The "SIF Scratchpad" shows you what the SIFs are according to the "Code Calculations". The fact that you overrode the SIF values does not affect what the Scratchpad shows you.

As you saw in the output reports, your SIF values were indeed used on the elements framing into that intersection.
