I am designing at horizontal tank per ASME Code, but I also need to meet PED requirements for a CE Stamp. The hydrotest needs to be 1.43 times, not 1.3 as it is now. How can i change that value, or is there something else i need to do.

Riot,

In PV Elite there is an input field for user specified hydrotest pressure. If a non-zero value is entered in, the program will use that value when computing the stresses on the elements during the hydrotest.

Hi Riot,

You need to check that during the hydrotest using a value of 1.43 times the pressure, the stresses generated on the vessel are below an appropriate allowable stress for this design using the rules that you are following.
