Hi ,

Good Day
Can any body throw some light on the below issue which we have come across during the review of one horizontal vessel analysis through PV Elite.
While reviewing base plate bolting area calculations & base plate thickness calculation done in PV elite per Dennis moss, we have noted certain discrepancy in the calculation of Y value for the effective bearing length.

PV elite value of factor K1, K2 & K3 used for calculating the Y value in the equation Y^3+K1*Y^2+K2*Y+K3 =0 are not matching with the calculated values of factor K1, K2 & K3. Additionally, while cross checking the correctness of calculated value of 'Y', it has been found that summation of Y^3+K1*Y^2+K2*Y+K3 is not equal to zero. Is there two different units used here?

Thanks in advance.
